Earthquake Hits Greece

A powerful 6.9 earthquake rattled Greece on Sunday, causing minor damage in southern Greece. Officials on the island of Crete say that three people were slightly inured. The epicenter of the quake was located beneath the seabed about 125 miles south of Athens and 12 miles east of Kithira island. No tsunami warnings were issued. Scientist say that it since the quake occurred deep undersea that the nation was spared horrific damage. The quake was felt as far away as Italy and Egypt. (source)
