TDI Following Up On... Missing Explosives
Federal authorities have announced that four men have been arrested in connection with the theft of 400 pounds of explosives from a storage depot. The explosives went missing earlier this week, as TDI reported. The men's names have not been released, but we do know that two of them were brothers. All of the men face federal charges, including possession of stolen explosives.
Three of the arrests were made in Bloomfield, New Mexico, while the other was made in Ignacio, Colorado. The men are accused in connection with the theft of 150 lbs of C-4, 250 pounds of sheet explosives, 20,000 feet of detonator cord and 2,500 blasting caps. All of that is enough to flatten a building. Investigators have said that there is no evidence to suggest a link to organized terrorism. (source)
