Americans Love Sydney

Americans love Sydney. Sydney Bristow, that is. ABC's super spy, played by mom-to-be Jennifer Garner, has been named by more than 3,100 people who voted in the Council for Excellence in Government's poll as their "Favorite TV Fed". She garnered (no pun intended) 29.6% of the vote. NBC's White House Chief-of-Staff C.J. Cregg came in second with 28.7%, while FOX's Jack Bauer came in third with 16.2% of the vote.

Winning "Favorite Fictional President" was Josiah Bartlet, played by Martin Sheen, on The West Wing, with 38%. MacKenzie Allen came in second with 25%. FOX's David Palmer got 20% of the vote. (24 keeps coming in at third place!) The West Wing candadites Matt Santos and Arnold Vinick got 10 and 7%, respectively.

The best crime-solvers are the CSI team, voters determined, narrowly beating out Low & Order by 2%. Cliff Clavin of Cheers was voted best mailman by a wide margin over Seinfeld's Newman. (source) (TDI's original post on this poll)
