File Under: Personal Announcements
It's been a while since I've done a "personal announcement" post, i.e., since I've done a blog-like post! As you may have noticed, things have slowed down here at the Institute. Well, me starting college, things may be a little bit slower here than usual. I'll still post regularly, don't worry. But if there's a day or two a week where there's nothing, well, you'll know why.Secondly, just to let you all know, they plugged the breach in the Lake Ponchatrain levee, and are beginning to pump water out of the city. TDI has now formally stopped our "over-coverage", but we will keep tabs on it, and bring you the key developments. (some days, it took at least an hour to compile those huge, long list! And that was the hard news, too! I rarely included survival stories. From Biloxi to New Orleans, what a story it is!)
Third, I got season 1 of Lost on DVD! WOOT! I watched Part I of the pilot. It is sooo good. It's kinda weird watching it, and now knowing so much about the characters. Also? I forgot how much the earlier episodes emphasized the beautiful scenery in Hawaii. I want to Hawaii now!'
NEXT.. I'm sorry I forgot to explain more on how to access The Delta Podcast. This site is for another podcast, but they explain the medium, and give links for software applications. Unlike some site's podcast, I cannot just link to a QuickTime page that will play the audio right on a site for 'ya. Sorry!
Finally, if you could please look to the sidebar on your left, and look at the list of TDI affiliates. There may be a few names that you don't reckognize from before. We would like to welcome Scarlett and Brian, as they join the proud ranks of TDI Affiliates. Their names still don't beat The Random Potatoes Present Blogapalooza, though. That'll be tough to beat!
West Michiganders, I'll see some of you this Friday at Celebration. When the fireworks start, I'll be off the bridge, and probably by the Van Andel Museum. And if you're in Grandville this weekend, the local mall has a Hollywood memorabilia event you might be interested in. That's all for now! Click back later for more updates as they become avaliable.

Chuck, I shall be disappointed if you do not update frequently...but i spose I understand:-) I can't WAIT for celebration...how come ur not gonna b on the bridge??
Simple - He's too good to sit with us rabble on the bridge.
OR... he's going to be off pursuing photographic opportunities. Chuck views almost every event in life as a photo shoot waiting to happen. Fireworks are no exception.
Oh, heh, I kinda left out THAT detail, didn't I? If TDI were a group, my editor would have a field day with all of my posts!
Yes, I'm going to Celebration to take pictures. I'll be there, off to the side of the bridge, with my camera and tripod.
Look carefully, Erika... You just might see me! ;)
