The Delta Podcast

File Under: PodCasting
It all started out when Mark kinda boldly instisted that I should start podcasting. I was suprised, and insisted that I would have nothing to podcast about. I said that about regular blogging, though.

The thought then struck me that I could do a nice audio recap of the week that was, as it relates to Hurricane Katrina. So I spent the afternoon typing up a script, and spend some time at night trying to record it. However, I quickly realized I didn't want to actually do a 10+ audio special, all by myself. I'm not an audio broadcaster, evidentailly. At least, not yet. I was about to do another take, when younger brother Harry walked into the room. I quicky made him part of the 2-minute broadcast, much to his confusion. It turned out pretty good, and today, I did a 2 minute recording with Harry again, but this time joined by Grace and Elizabeth, fellow siblings.

Future podcast might be short news recaps, entertainment list, maybe something political, a commentary peice, or even interviewing a fellow TDI affiliate. Preferably, I'd get a affiliate to co-host a podcast with me for just about every installment.

So what you'll hear in the first few podcast won't be exactly pleasing to the ears, as I try to find my broadcaster's voice (if I have one!). And no, I'm not exaggerating. It won't be pretty. But the discussions are fun. AND, I made a logo! So now I have to keep going with this. ^_^

Here's the RSS feed:

You can add that to your podcast feeders. I already submitted the feed to iTunes, so hopefully that will be avaliable there soon for your listening pleasure. I'm using a free site, so there will be *additional* stuff from the service. But it's free! And not, like, $60 a year, which some sites insist that I must pay!

I'll post notices here at TDI Central whenever there's a new podcast. Have fun!

Y'all are going to want a newsreader like Thunderbird to get these. Or i-Tunes. Or you could add the feed in My Yahoo! or Google's customized homepage.
