The Recap:
Brokeback Mountain didn't win Best Picture, as The Delta Institute Newsblog predicted. We'd like to remind you that many people we're predicting that it would win. The entertainment guys also thought Desperate Housewives would sweep the Golden Globes. Weirdos.

There was no big winner this year; King Kong, Memoirs of a Geisha, Crash, and Brokeback Mountain all went home with three Oscars. No one swept, but few lost big time. The biggest news would probably be that Kong, Memoirs, and Geisha got awards at all - neither of those films were heavy favorites to win honors from the Academy.

And following tonights telecast, The Delta Institute Newsblog shouldn't be allowed to make predictions anymore. We got 11 predictions right, but on the flipside there were 13 wrong. Perhaps TDI's just as out of touch with Hollywood as we accuse them of being with us. Naw, that'd be explaining it all too easily. Instead, I'm thinking of taking the sore loser approach and demanding a recount!
