Update from Ambae

Last week, TDI told you about Mount Manaro was rumbling, and was expected to erupt in a fantastic explosion. Well, it's still rumbling, but now scientist think that the rumblings will not result in a major eruption. As you can imagine, the 5,000 villagers ordered evacuated from around Mt. Manaro are certianly relieved. Scientist feel that the activity will continue for a few weeks before starting to calm down. It's been at level 2 on the volcano scale for a while. It's not expected to be upgraded to a level 3. But if the scientist are wrong, and volcanic activity escalates, TDI will continue to keep you updated.
