Japan Jolted
At about 9:54 pm Tokyo time (7:54 am EST), a preliminary 4.3 earthquake offucred, followed about 20 minutes later by a 6.4 earthquake. The first quake occured in the Kanto region, while the second occured occured 25 miles below Japan's seabed, off the coast of Miyagi. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. In August, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake shook northern Japan, injuring at least 59 people, triggering landslides, and damaging buildings. No tsunami warnings were issued for these earthquakes.
