This weekend, American's embraced the claymation import Wallace & Gromit. The animated move took in $16 million. The Jodi Foster thriller Flightplan continued to fly in the number two spot, gaining an additional $10.8 million. The Gosepl is a suprise hit, considering it played in just 1/4 of the theaters that Wallace & Gromit aired in.

Below are the estimated box office returns for the weekenend of October 7 - 9, 2005, as estimated by Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc.

2. Flightplan, $10.8 million
3. In Her Shoes, $10 million
4. Two for the Money, $8.4 million
5. The Gospel, $8 million
6. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, $6.5 million
7. Waiting, $5.7 million
8. A History of Violence, $5.1 million
9. Serenity, $4.9 million
10. Into the Blue, $4.8 million
