How Many are Lost?

File Under: TV Ratings
You may be wondering... How influental is The Delta Institute? How much promotion can we do for ABC's Lost that will actually be effective? Well, consider this... We didn't start up until June. Lost had already gone into the summer hiatus. We mention it here and there, and promote is when necessary.

This past Wednesday night was the first NEW episode of Lost to air since TDI started up, and it pulled in a record 23.1 million viewers. That's the best ratings for any episode of Lost so far. All the watercooler talk over the summer about what's down the hatch probably helped attact viewers. (speaking of inside the hatch... eek!)

16.8 million stuck around for the series premiere of Invasion, a show that's a very worthy successor to The X-Files. (the show stars William Fichtner, who could easily play FNC's Alan Colmes in a movie. Easily.)

The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, which debuted in the 8 pm hour over on NBC, is not such a good thing. Now, even a Lost clip show is tough competition, but Martha could only attract 7.6 million viewers to hear her say "I'm so sorry, sweetheart, but you just don't fit in. Goodbye, and I'll write you a letter!"

And over on the FOX network, the second installment of Head Cases got just barely 3 million viewers. Hehe.

YOu are right about that Alan Colmes lookalike. Everytime I looked at him I thought, where's Sean? (And you'll note, he appears to be evil, too!)
