OK, so before I went away to Missouri in late July(the conclusion should be posted sometime Sunday, BTW), I unsubscribed from AP breaking news alerts, which were sent to my e-mail. I didn't want to come back to 200 breaking news items, which would do me no good after the fact. Like, what good would "President Bush lands safely Tuesday after flying around in a helicopter for no apparent reason than to fly around in a helicopter!" do me on Sunday?

In the meanwhile, I've gotten used to the change in my mail. I see that I have 3 new peices of mail, they'll *usually* be comments from this blog. (I have comments sent to my e-mail, for backup purposes) WELL... I decided to re-subscribe to the news alerts, and now when I see "11 unread messages", I get all excited. Then I see "Alan Greenspan raises interest rates by 7 whole points in a fit of angry rage", and "Terrorist strike overseas. No words on casualty counts, which are rising".

It's kinda dissapointing, really.

On another note... Yes, I do look divine in a pink poodle skirt. But you should've seen NotLiberal the other day in the black ball gown. Oh... my... word, it was stunning. And they way NL had his hair done, it was to die for. I'll see if I have a picture of it somewhere.
