Oh, the horror! Not only are they planning on making a movie version of The Smurfs, it's being planned as a 3-D trilogy! Paramount will be distributing the movies under the Nickelodeon Movies banner. The first movie will hit in 2008, marking the 50th anniversary of Papa Smurf. (TVGuide)
