Gladiator II, The Next Gladiator, Gladiator Redux, Money-Hungry Gladiator... There are so many titles I can think of for a sequel for the popular Russel Crowe epic, Gladiator. Now, due to the events of the end of the movie, Crowe's Maximus can't be a *main* character. But actor Djimon Hounsou could be! Djimon said recently that there is a "desire" to do a seuqel, but it's still currently only in production.

There was once talk of doing a prequel, but that kinda fell though. I think it was actually similar enough to Kingdom of Heaven where Ridley Scott dropped Pre-Gladiator for Kingdom. We'll see if this sequel actually plays out.
