Hopping on the Bandwagon

File Under: Guaranteed Ratings?
As we wait for movies based on the war in Afghanistan to even be penned (come on... Kandahar? Tora Bora? I can't believe they haven't been made yet!), we're getting announcements left and right of 9/11 telefilms, and even a major motion picture film.

Today, the Discovery Channel announced that on September 11, 2005, it will be playing "The Flight That Fought Back", a docudrama that will include about 45 minutes of re-created scenes. They are getting cooperation from some of the family members of those killed that day. "A few people didn't want to have anything to do with it just because they just don't want to have anything to do with anything (relating to that day)," said executive producer Phil Craig.
