Good Morning!
File Under: Long TV Shift
It's 3:30 pm ET, and CNN is still airing American Morning. They started at 6 am, and apparently will keep going until 4 pm. I guess it's easier to pay Soledad O'Brian and Miles O'Brian, rather than a bunch of anchors. Even adding in the cost of ice cream bars.

I'm sorry, anonymous, but we don't capitalize our foul language here at the Institute. We keep it clean, and keep it civil.
No, their overtime does not come out of my pocket. And sure, I probably spelled their names wrong. But I'm not an avid CNN fan either. That would explain THAT.
At some point, they could have taken the "American Morning" banner off. Like, at 11. Or noon. Or 1. Or 2. Or 3. If they want to keep anchors on for long periods of time, fine. It's not unheard of, especially on the broadcast networks.
But with a cable news network, with so many personalities, especially with CNN trying to become an identifiable brand again, why rely on just a few anchors PERIOD for an entire day?
We'll find out later on when the ratings come out if Klein's strategy paid off.
