My first Festival competition
As most of you probably know by now, I had a photograph featured in the Regional Arts Exhibition portion of Festival of the Arts 2005. I could select up to 2 peices of artwork to submit for jurying. I selected the picture below right away, and I spent weeks trying to decide what my other photo should be. Funny thing is, the photo that I chose right away got picked by the juror, and the one that I spent all that time choosing wasn't chosen for exhibition.
Also? Next year, I'm going to HAVE to ask for a higher price. I had a selling price of $30, which as it turns out, in the arts community, is like, uber-cheap, times ten. Most STARTED at $150, the average was around $300. But at least my photograph was sold. And before Festival even!
